Landfill Leachate Treatment
In recent years, with the acceleration of China's urbanization process, domestic waste treatment plants have proliferated across the country. Landfill leachate remains one of the most challenging wastewaters to treat. From initial single biological treatment to current combined processes, there is a need to enhance the design theories and methods of landfill leachate treatment facilities.
Landfill leachate is a highly hazardous and concentrated organic wastewater, appearing brown or black with a foul odor. Its composition is complex, containing a large amount of toxic organic substances, high concentrations of inorganic salts, and various pathogens. While the wastewater is biodegradable, its quality varies significantly and is influenced by factors such as waste composition, waste treatment processes, storage duration, season, and climate, with almost no periodicity.
Technical Advantages Existing engineering practices demonstrate that the Go Higher Flat Sheet Membrane MBR System offers the following advantages in landfill leachate treatment:
1. The process is simple, the structure is compact, and the footprint is small, with no restrictions on installation location. The bioreactor maintains a high concentration of microorganisms, achieving a high volumetric loading rate and significantly reducing the required space.
2. It can be combined with various processes, such as flat sheet membrane MBR + nanofiltration (NF) or SBR + flat sheet membrane MBR.
3. The effluent quality is excellent and stable. Due to the high-efficiency separation of the membrane, the separation effect is far superior to traditional sedimentation tanks. The treated water is clear, with suspended solids and turbidity close to zero, and bacteria and viruses are significantly removed.
4. The treatment cost is significantly lower than that of tubular ultrafiltration membrane.
